Exploring 'Reflections': A soulful debut from Danniella Dee

Coventry-based artist, Danniella Dee, gifts us with her latest EP “Reflections,” – a serenade of sounds that tastefully blends R&B, hip-hop, and soul. The EP's title, inspired by a poem penned in her adolescence, hints at themes that gracefully unfold throughout. The project lyrically articulates motifs of womanhood, romance, and purpose and features an ever-present groove that leaves a lot to enjoy on this five-track EP.

An array of soulful moments grace this project, most notably on the leading single “Stutter.” The track possesses a smooth, sensual allure as it details the feelings of vulnerability and demure with a new flame. As her vocals croon, “I been looking for the perfect words to tell you / Still don't even know what I'm gonna say / Can't forget the first time I was around you / Just your presence took my breath away,” she leaves the listener drawn to the song’s soundscape. Adding to the collection of gems, "Woman" emerges as an energetic ode to womanhood, skillfully celebrating the strength and power that resides within. The track showcases a layered instrumental arrangement seamlessly intertwined with Dee's empowering lyrics, creating a powerful affirmation for women.

As Danniella Dee crafts her own distinguished lane, she pays homage to the roots of R&B and soul while infusing the EP with elements that feel both organic and authentic. With projects that feel as good as this one, we eagerly anticipate following her journey as she pushes boundaries to create timeless music as proven by this promising debut.
