Jesse Boykins III Invites You to 'Go With the Feeling' in His Latest Release

Jesse Boykins III — singer, songwriter & multifaceted creator, releases “Go With the Feeling,” making it evident that a project is on the horizon. This release serves as a precursor, signaling the arrival of a meticulously crafted project, bringing an end to an eight-year hiatus that followed his acclaimed 2017 album, “Bartholomew.”

For "Go With the Feeling," Boykins teamed up with fellow Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Wynne Bennet and NAZ. The song seamlessly introduces elements of dancehall, a nod to his Jamaican roots while allowing Boykins to do what he does best — creating a unique sound that fits like a tailored suit. The velvety tinged vocals sing a song about an old flame that he can’t let go, delving into the laws of attraction and the allure of wanting something comforting yet spontaneous in the same breath.

"Go With the Feeling" is just a taste of what's to come on Boykins' forthcoming album, New Growth, named after the creative sanctuary agency he founded in 2017. Boykins wears many hats and as a creative force, he’s demonstrated his artistic genius through his work on Masego's self-titled album and collaboration with actor Keith Powers on a short story for Bumble. Dipping into his creative bag, we’re eager to see what he expertly curated on this upcoming project.

New Growth is slated to be released on October 20th. However, in the meantime, you can check out your preferred streaming service to listen to "Go With the Feeling.”
